I didn't really understand the revelation part...

    Experimentation on animals
    • The Jewish biblical text states that it is immoral to cause an animal unnecessary pain. The Commandment tzaar baalei hayim is found in Exodus 23: 5, it says "When you see the ass of your enemy lying under its burden and would refrain from raising it, you must nevertheless raise it with him.”
    • The Babylonian Talmud also discusses how animals, especially working animals such as Oxen and mules should be treated.
    • Rabbinic authorities have extended tzaar baalei hayimand and state that animals must have decent living conditions and food.
    • Other Jewish laws on animal experimentation:
o Animals testing is allowed if it can lead to life saving medicine, vaccines etc.
o Medical Experimentation on animals to train medical personnel is allowed
o Experimenting on animals for pure satisfaction and curiosity is prohibited

    Revelation

    Sexual Ethics
    • The Jewish faith considers sex natural and holy as the first Halacha in the Torah is “Be fruitful and multiply”. However sex still has its boundaries and is only approved when between a husband and wife.

    • Judaism also recognises the importance of sexual please and it fact it is stated in Exodus 21:10 that a husband must provide his wife with marital intimacy, however a woman is allowed to reject her husband’s sexual advances.

    • Sex is also prohibited during menstruation.

    • Rape is prohibited

  2. Andrew,

The basic idea behind Jewish belief in Revelation is that they live constantly under the threat of annihilation. They only continue to exist, day to day, because God wills it so. Therefore, they must constantly refresh and renew their covenant with God in order that they ensure they are saved when the apocalypse occurs.
    Make sense now?
